Lawrence 01-15-08, 10:45 AM I don't have an underside pic of them mounted on my TJ. They go like these where they follow the body lines. Let me know if you have more questions.

Lawrence 01-15-08, 08:11 PM FLARES ARE SOLD

Everything is in great condition. Only reason I am selling is that I am going smaller. The front shocks are perfect, the rear ones have scratches on the stickers. The front ones have black boots but none on the rear. I don't think I'll be using the boots from my Rancho and I can always give them out if you don't mind a couple red ones. According to RE's site they fit their 4.5-7.5 lift, measurements are on there too.

HotRodOil.com 01-22-08, 10:23 AM Isn't the anti-rock tube welded in place? What size tube does the bar portion go through? Do you know the width on it?
Lawrence 01-22-08, 02:34 PM Man Lawrence, looking way nice.
Even nicer with the red hardtop ;)

No, this is the front Antirock. It goes through your front crossmember. If you look at it, the front crossmember is hollow. Some special bushings go on each end (flat on top), the rod goes through them, and the arms attach to each end. The width is the correct one for the TJ, pretty much the width of the frame. This eliminates the stock swaybar and the need for discos.

Gotcha.....Guess it won't work for my project anyway...too short. Thanks for the info.
rockrat33 01-29-08, 05:19 PM want to know if the doors are still for sale. pm and let me know please.
dadasjp 01-29-08, 05:51 PM I read your write-up on the other forum, nice work. I do have a few quick questions though: How have you liked the Vanco brake upgrade (the old 15")? Are there any tricks to look out for with the install? Also, do you know what size of upgrade will fit with 16" wheels? I noticed you're going to 16" with a 17" wheel. I'm very interested in doing this upgrade and would love to hear about your experience with the kit. Thanks in advance.

Someone is coming over the weekend for a trade on them. If it doesn't work out, I'll let you know.

Thanks. The Vanco kit is simply outstanding. When I bought the TJ, the brakes were not up to par, so so at best. It wouldn't stop very well, just slow down the Jeep.
So, my friend Blaine called me and asked me if I would be a tester for some new pads. After 4 months, several thousands of miles on various pads (13 sets), one set of tires (too much skidding), and tons of fuel burnt, I believe we found the best combo. All this was done with me having no knowledge of the brands used, any markings were removed so not to compromise my judgement.
All this testing was done with the 15" kit, and it is incredibly good. The install is also very easy. I could lock up my 35s anytime I wanted. Not that you want to do that, but if you can't, how do you know if your brakes are performing at their best? So this is the best measure we could come up with, and all you have to do from there is to modulate the pressure on the brake pedal.
I ultimately went with the 16" kit, simply because I run 17" wheels, so why not get the biggest one available. :D But the 15" kit is a really good one.
I can answer any questions you have, but the best is to get a hold of Blaine (screen name: mrblaine) on jeepbbs.com. He developed the kit and he knows more about brakes than anyone I know. PM him and tell him I sent you over. You can also call Van at Vanco, he'll spend as much time on the phone as you need.
If you want to do some reading, there are several threads on jeepbbs.com in the Friends forum. Do a search. I hope this helps.
