My rear shocks are shot. Looking for advice on new ones. I have a 2000 TJ with a 3" lift. I need something that will work well for both trails and rocks.

I need something that will work well for both trails and rocks. Whattaya guys like? Shadly1 03-18-08, 09:25 PM I have Bilstein 5100s all the way around. Good stuff as long as you don't go too big on your lift. Buggs 03-18-08, 09:33 PM That is one of the options that I was looking at. I have bilsteins on my truck and I love them. Where did you get them? How much (if you don't mind me asking)? Shadly1 03-19-08, 01:06 AM The former owner bought them at 4 Wheel Parts. I think JC Whitney sells them too. Quadratec definitely. Beat98TJ 03-21-08, 01:10 PM I am partial to Edelbrocks. Currently they are selling some of the older red monotube shocks for 29.95 on the Edelbrock website. Hard to beat for the price. http://store.edelbrock.com/jeep.aspx Buggs 03-21-08, 09:36 PM Went with the Bilstien 5100's. My "local" shop got them overnight and even threw them on for me. Man, didn't know how bad my old ones were. Now I can't wait to see how they hold up on the trails. Thanks for the feedback! |
