This little Tern has been waking me up every morning for the last three weeks. He's in love with his girl freind and they make some serious racket out on the deck of my boat in the morning. I've been trying to get a picture of them for weeks, but they hear me coming and boogie. So I finally got smart and set up my tripod on the cockpit deck aimed at his favorite perch. I got up this morning and HA! Gotcha you little s__t.

I just got my newest lens for the Canon Eos Rebel; 90mm 1:2.8 macro. I did a lot of research looking for an economical lens that will do what I want. Tamron makes just what I was looking for, and it gets some pretty good reviews. So far I'm blown away by just how small an object this lens will focus. 1.1 life size with a fairly large view angle (27degrees) and shoots to infinity just as well. My new all purpose lens, although I bought it for macro work. I'm just learning how to utilize it, but here are two pics I just snapped waiting to get on a plane for Portland
