8 person max. 14 day stay max. First come first serve. No fee. Adventure pass required. No water. No bathrooms. No tables. Campfires allowed when fire restrictions permit. Campfire permits are required.

None of the yellow post sites in Lytle Creek are RV friendly. In fact I would not even pull a pop up trailer on these roads unless it was designed with clearance for offroading. Stockton Flat (YP4,5,7,8 & 9) and YP1 could be reached with a 2wd vehicle with clearance. The other yellow post sites all require 4wd.

Bring your bug spray if you plan on camping in the Lytle Creek Yellow Post sites.

YP1 (Cold Camp) is located on 3N06 at N34° 17.811 W117° 34.290

Not much shade. Room for 1 or 2 tents and vehicles. Very rocky.

I've been camping up there since the early 70's & enjoy it up there.

I use to live on 10 acres in Etiwanda before Rancho Cucamonga swallowed it up. We'd go up there ~3-5 times a week depending on the weather.

You use to be able to drive from Lytle Creek all the way up to the ski lifts back in the day. Landslides stopped that, then they gated it off ~1982.

I do know of a few secret bypasses thou (they were traveled roads before landslides & flooding washed most of them away), but you have to be extreamly familiar to be able to find them.

I've been known to familiarize and teach the rangers so they know their own territory. :)
