Victor Valley 4 Wheelers are hosting our 17th annual "Fun In The Desert" event September 26-28th in Johnson Valley OHV, Means Dry Lake Bed. We will be running the famous Hammer trails, will also have a milder run on Fissure Mountain, and a stocker/suv run.

I am not sure I'll be able to go on a trail or not since I am working the event. I am hoping to do Clawhammer. According to Dustin/Becca Webster that is the one trail I should be able to do with the new Desert Jewel.

Sun bonnet is a great trail, you will love it.
Max we will try to get there for a friday run, I will contact rich and see what they want to run friday, He is always the best trail guide. i will probally be camping with them so hope to see you out there.

That Andrew is a true A hole now i know why he is so good at his job, he is made for that!!!
Highway 20 will have to wait for me, i need to get damage from last time on that trail fixed !!!!
I am still wondering about that last waterfall on wrecking ball that i hear so much about !!!! ( better tune up the winch)

man.... I dont know if I will be able to make it out for this event. Might have to ride shotty with my buddy. My jeep is torn to pieces right now.... no rear axle... no gas tank.... fun stuff on a college budget and no garage to work in.

I thought that was the same guy i tried to follow on Highway 20 when i had a little mishap ( luckily Max is a thin guy, he was able to crawl out of my Jeep safely)

Obviously his rig is capable etc... he just doesnt mount a spare tire on his rig (39s) and also doesnt have an e-brake. he has cutting brakes. Will he not be able to drive if those things are not on his jeep? that would be a shame.

Leave your spare in camp, that way you can carry mine.

I am not on the safety committee...however the requirements are on all of the registration forms:

All vehicles WILL BE REQUIRED to adhere to all CA4WD, Inc. safety
requirements listed below. Those not meeting the minimum
requirements WILL be turned away with no refund.
1. Roll bar or full cage or factory installed hard top
2. Functional parking brake or micro lock
3. Tow strap or rope – recommend rated at 2 times the vehicle weight
4. First-aid kit
5. Jack capable of lifting the vehicle and a tool capable of removing lug
nuts
6. Spare tire equal or within 3” of existing tires on the vehicle (no
temporary spares)
7. Fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good/full appropriately stored
8. Seat belts for all passengers
9. CB radio (REQUIRED) with antenna(s) not exceeding 4’6”
10. Adequate attachment points front and rear, i.e., tow hooks,
receivers, etc. Tow balls are not generally recommended
11. Battery hold downs (no bungee cords)

LOCKERS: LOCK-RITE, ARB, DETROIT, EZ locker are acceptable in front

Found a front half case on Pirate. I'll be ready for FITD. Even built me a new skid plate. Gained about 2.5 inches clearance and it's 1/4 in. steel plate. Strong... But I'm sure I'll find a way to bend it, probably following you somewhere!

As long as you can pass tech you're fine. There's room on Wrecking Ball. Outer Limits is a blast, but it's long and tough on 35's. Sunbonnet is good too, just enough tech to keep ya thinking.

35's, Chromo's and 2" lift with 410's, a roc-trac and some armor is what i'm running. It will work good. Bring spares! I'll have some you bring some and you and I are interchangeable. If you break i'll have all of the basics plus some visa versa.

Hey do you think I could get the Magnum out to means dry lake? Niki wants to come out for the day. I know they re did the road I don't think it goes all the way out to the lake bed?? To my recolection it does not. The Magnum has the limited slip in the rear and it's open in the front. LOL It's just that one hill that we will have to tackle right?

Runs leave at 7:30 & 8:00 am Saturday morning depending on the trail. You can register Friday night from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm or Saturday morning starting at 6:00 am.

See what happens when you actually use your Jeep to have fun? Damn those brakes. If you haven't already figured it out, they're probably locking up because the piston in the caliper is dirty, swollen from excessive heat, the seal is shot letting dirt in. Mine did it going 75 on the 15 heading to Rick and Sarahs last Christmas. That was fun! I can't help in person, but if you have any questions give me a call. Do you still have my #?
