I bought this tranny for my TJ back in February, and have since been laid off. I would love to have it in my Jeep, but at this point, I think I'm just going to replace my NV3550 with another. Advance Adapters sells kits for this very popular transmission. Their full-blown kit for TJ costs $862.50, but depending on how handy you are, and how you tackle it, you don't need to buy everything from them--you can build it or get it cheaper elsewhere. For instance, their kit includes a new tailshaft which is an inch shorter--over $300.00; if you don't need to lose the inch, the Dodge 4x4 tailshaft should work fine. Jeeps may require tunnel modifications as well, but some on Pirate 4x4 claim that they have fit it without body lift, tunnel mod, or lowering the crossmember/skid. Some other applications are much less expensive.

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer.

I would be willing to meet someone in Temecula, as long as my Jeep isn't torn apart at the time; I have a lot of work to do...
