How would a 4 cyl engine fit into a cherokee meant for a 6? would it bolt up and work, or would i be buying a bunch of stuff. Im looking to maybe sell mine unless it doesnt cost to much to get all fixed up and then buy another jeep. I was looking at CJ's on autotrader but they were a little more than i wanted to spend. Any advice on whether the swap will work. And also im looking for a jeep to build up, and want to spend about 2000 bucks.

I would imagine it would bolt up, but the computers, wiring harness, and some other parts I'm sure would be different. It would probably be easier and more cost effective to buy one with a 6 already in it.
