Savvy Off Road is about to finally release the long awaited Under Armor. We want to release the first few to existing customers so we can get feedback on the installation and fit. You will need to be ready to install the Under Armor right away.
Savvy Under Armor is a complete system to protect the engine, transmission and transfer case. The kit will include an integrated 1” motor mount/crossmber kit, 1.25” body lift, exhaust hanger, low profile transmission mount, two cross members and the formed aluminum under armor.

I saw it installed and it's very clean looking. It was pretty much flush to the frame.
Looks awesome.

I have only seen prototype pics on savvys website and from the pics they dont look flush to me. It looks to hang ~an inch below the frame in the middle. I am wondering what the final production came up with.

Thanks everyone!
Some more eye candy!
This is what the Savvy Under Armor will look like when you receive it. We do it right! Everything is zinc plated to reduce corriosion in an area that not a lot of us maintain very well!

All that skid and it eliminates the need for a MM and BL separately purchased? All I gotta say is wow! This covers the oilpan also? Was looking for the access hole.
In order to stuff the transmission and transfer case up into the body, you have to have a body lift (or cut the floor out).
The body lift necessitates the motor mount lift in order to properly align the fan to the shroud. It also drops the rear angle of the output shaft back towards the rear differential.
Are you using JKS BL/MM components? Do we still need to "dimple" the floor?
What about the drive shafts? Some belly kits require new driveshafts and/or SYE kits.
What about the transmission mounts? Are these the two low profile mounts like used on the Nth Degree (AEV) pans? These work awesome but can transfer vibration to the chassis, which is usually masked by the stock transmission mount. This is not a problem, but the customers need to know about it so they don't fault the Savvy kit! It's the price you pay for performance!
I like the cut-out for the exhaust! Well thought out and engineered...at far as I can tell by the pictures!
Access to the engine, tranny, and tranfer case drains is an issue. Can you access all of these without having to hold the transfer case up with a jack?
I'm ready to buy a belly kit and have been doing my homework. I have offered to pay full pop (not looking for a freebie) and use of my Jeep to prototype, but you declined. Right now its either AEV or Rokmen and I almost ordered one last week. Maybe I will wait a little bit longer as you seem to be real close and I would rather spend my money closer to home.
I'd like to come by the shop and check this out if possible. It looks great Gerald and I'm glad you are almost ready to release it. I was beginning to think I would have to go elsewhere!

In order to stuff the transmission and transfer case up into the body, you have to have a body lift (or cut the floor out).
Answer: Not with our Under armor!
The body lift necessitates the motor mount lift in order to properly align the fan to the shroud. It also drops the rear angle of the output shaft back towards the rear differential.
Are you using JKS BL/MM components? Do we still need to "dimple" the floor?
Answer: No dimple is necessary. Everything is made by us and is required to install the Under Armor! Even the body and motor mount lifts are unique.
What about the drive shafts? Some belly kits require new driveshafts and/or SYE kits.
Answer: You will need install a SYE and CV drive shaft.
Answer: The low pro transmission mount is fully isolated so you will not get anymore vibration than stock and you don't have to worry the trans mount breaking. The OEM breaks quite easily.
I like the cut-out for the exhaust! Well thought out and engineered...at far as I can tell by the pictures!
Access to the engine, tranny, and tranfer case drains is an issue. Can you access all of these without having to hold the transfer case up with a jack?
Answer: You have to looked real close. The cross member is stand alone. Meaning the Aluminum skins can be remove and the Jeep can still be driven. That was one of the design priorities when we first sat down and drew it up.
Transfer case can easily be accessed without touching the skid. For the engine oil we provide an access port. Should you need to change the tranny fluid you will only need to remove the center aluminum skid.

Answer: I didn't decline it wasn't ready. The current version is only for 2003+ autos non Rubis. If you have a Jeep like that email me your info and I'll put you on the early adopter list.

Saw this skid installed at Blaine's the other day. I WANT!! I'll be waiting for a YJ skid to come out... and maybe a CJ5 version? :D
Gerald,
I sent you an email. Not sure if you want try your stuff on custom modified rigs but if so I'm willing to take my junk off and install yours. That's if you haven't already installed one on yours. Hmmm, guess I shoulda thought about that first, huh?

It won't work with LA kits that have arms that connect to a belly skid.
