Well my jeep is almost done all I need to do next is build some rockrails and re-gear the front end to match the rear.

Lookin' good!

Thanks I'm planning on taking out sometime in Aug. or Sept. to Swamp or Dusy, but before that I will be testing it out a Gorman. I want to get out as many bugs out as I can. Hope to get the front gear sometime this month and the rockrails built as well. I just can't seem to find 8 gauge wire to run from my breaker box to my garage. I just have to keep looking.
Thanks.

Tell me more about the rear axle shock mounts. They are very interesting. The Missus' XJ has the stock mounts that hang down a bit.

Agreed re: 5+" inches lift needed to mount 33's cleanly and ROKNXJ still hasn't even trimmed the front fender under the marker lights.

Sweet Jeep bro. I (MAMAHEAD) have a 90 XJ sitting in the garage waiting for a lil' attention. Meet up with you on the trail sometime. ;)

I have ran it stock up lockwood/millers and around gorman a couple up times no real hardcore trail yet.

I am running a 5.5 RE lift which will probably need some trimming up front but like you said I need to flex it to find out.

Well the Dana 44 is off a MJ truck which used to have the leafs under the axle and the shock mounts where on the spring pads. I bought it off a guy from Portland, he had it on an XJ but never install shock mounts. I just built those shock mount myself using 1" X 3" 1/8" steel bar. I've seen some of my friends cut the stock shock mount and reweld it up higher on the axle. I'll let you know once I run 220 volts power to my garage and will do the same to your jeep.
