We've decided to have the par-tay at Calico! Schedule is flexible depending on who's interested in going. We'll have GoinCmndo and his ultra-beefy Jeep from Utah, and he's dying to get his newly-modded Jeep dirty. Will do the famous gatekeeper, Doran, Odessa, and probably the night run too off in the dirt.

I'm not sure if we'll be camping or not, this is going to be more of a hard core run, so we might get done rather quickly.

No camping is cool by me but where will the par-tay be held? Its not often I can get an okay to do an overnight so I want to take full advantage of it :D

I think we'll end up camping Sat night and making Sun a nice early morning run to somewhere in Stoddard. We'll be doing a "pre-Calico" Friday afternoon run, probably out in the desert near the house. Maybe Rick's wash, maybe Pumpkin Eater, depending on what time we get started Friday. Friday will be a difficult run for sure and with the afternoon start we will not want too many vehicles. If anyone is interested send Sarah or I a PM. Aaron and Destri are coming in Friday morning. Should be a good weekend. I need to get my rear corners on... :)

My excuse is that my Jeep isn't capable, and hasn't been, but when it was drivable, I drove it :D

Sorry this took so long, needed a few minutes to make this list. I'm sure I've left something out, but here's a good start.

At least a gallon of drinking water a day
3 meals a day (with cooking source, if needed)
Cooking utensils, plates, cups, garbage bags
Soap, toothpaste, portable toilet, and other personal items
Camping chairs (+ and extra 2 for Rick and I, we always forget J/K)
Firewood, firelog and flashlight, headlamp, or other light source
Tent and sleeping gear for chilly weather (if it's windy it's cold)
Small shovel or rake for firepit or clearing space for your tent
Spare parts, tools, recovery gear including tow strap, etc.
Sunscreen, spider repellent, dry skin lotion, chapstick, sunglasses
Working CB (you do have one of these right?) and antenna
Digital camera, laptop and power inverter for nighttime photo show
A few chunks of change for local snacks, gas, breakfast
A yearning to take off your doors, lower your tire pressure, disco' and party down!

Yeah, maybe we should start a petition for a new one! Actually the garage is full of Jeep parts and stuff, which is why Rick said it had to "go." Maybe we can get an inflatable futon or something!

Well, it's official... I think I'm actually going to have my jeep together in time to do this. Tom Woods is sending me a new shaft since mine's no longer long enough after the manly modifications to my jeep. You gotta make sure you have a long enough shaft for your rig...

I woulda put the couch on the back porch at least, but it seemed that it was getting less use since I didn't feel like picking it up and putting it on the trailer to take camping much anymore. I figured that laziness would just get worse if I had to actually drive the trailer around the back yard to put the couch on... And it only weighed about 250 lbs...

Well it looks like I won't be there this weekend. The vibes started up again on the way to work this morning. Nothing bad but I don't think I want to be doing any hardcore wheeling until I can get everything worked out.

We were going to camp Saturday, but Rick's Jeep still isn't done, I have to go to the office this week (which = 12 hour days) and we have company coming to town (GoinCommando) Friday afternoon and the house isn't clean! LOL Taking 5 people camping is going to take some grocery shopping, food preparation, and a gathering of all of our camping gear. We haven't been camping all summer, so the stuff is dirty and all over the place.
