NEW GUY WITH A ?????
Hey guys i'm new here but not new to jeeps but the 90 yj i just bought is good all around, except for when i'm idleing at a stop light, it feels like the engine is surging,but the RPM's do not move up or down, you can hear it at the exhaust with the noise level(6 speaker stereo system) down, just wanting to get a heads up on it, in case i can catch something bad early!!!thanks!!

sounds like Vaccum line leak ? get out the propane bottle (dont light it !!!) and sniff around with it ! start there, and let us know .!

so what exactly am i supposed to do...to look for? what are the steps to determine if thats what it is...?
