Plus either these brackets or fab something similar.

Im not going to plan on using this as a rear recovery point, the hitch is used for that. So what does everyone think of the rear bumper? i realize its 1/8 thick but everything that is larger is out of my price range. Basically i want to do this as cheap as possible. I have a welder and am semi decent with it. I've thought about making my own but i dont have the tools/materials to get it done. not really sure where to get the steel, plus the only real cutting tool i have is a small angle grinder.

what do yall think?

chris you makin xj stuff yet!?!

Beats me. I would want to see close up of the welds and mounting brackets. Also, it speaks volumes about the guys work when he cant spend the extra time to look to see if the tubing seam is facing out or not. Its little shit like that that bugs me. If that theme is present throughout the bumper, I would say steer clear. Ask for close up pics of the welds and mounting.

If I was looking for a new rear bumper and tire carrier, I would go with one from Chris, and rock-itman.

I have a front one, and love it. It is rock solid.

My sliders should be here soon. Can't wait to install them to finish the look of my jeep.
