Um, anyone have a preference on a tow straps. I currently have zero (thats a big goose-egg) recovery equipment and was wondering if this is a deal or dud. Anyway, check it out.

that one is a dud. you dont want any recovery strap with hooks on it.
4 wheel parts has nice straps for like 25-30 bucks.
maybe dukes69 has one for sale as well.
Yeah no hooks and never buy anything that might save your life from Harbor Freight. Their "quality" is questionable at best.

Just a couple more notes to put into my Jeep toolbox. "Harbor Freight is quality questionable, and no hookers on my strappies... got it."
no hookers
Hookers are fine just no hooks on your tow straps. :D

I have a 20 foot harbor freight strap with no hooks and a 30 foot pro comp strap. The HF strap is fine (its not like it has any moving parts). I have used it 20-25 times. But it does have a lower load rating than the other straps. I think it is 8,000lbs. You should probably look for a minimum 10,000 lb rated strap. My pro comp is 20,000 lbs.
I have found it useful to have two straps of different lengths since sometimes you need a shorter strap for the particular situation.
