New 'GetBent!' DVD Series Features
Authentic Wheelin' Adventures


Dallas, TX January 30, 2006 -- A brand-new four wheelin' DVD
series titled 'GetBent!' featuring a level of realism rarely seen
in 4x4 videos has been announced by American Bootstrap
Productions, Inc. Designed to entertain wheelin' enthusiasts of
all kinds, 'GetBent!' features a broad spectrum of recreational
4x4 vehicles in popular settings with the authentic sounds of
real wheelin' adventures.

The 'GetBent!' series is filmed in true anamorphic widescreen
enhanced for today's 16:9 televisions, highlighting the panoramic
view of the great outdoors, coupled with Dolby Digital Pro
encoded audio showcasing the authentic crunching and scraping
sounds of real wheelin' instead of the all too common
heavy-music-laden soundtrack. Duane Smith (Producer/Director)
stated, "As wheelin' enthusiasts ourselves, we wanted to create a
video series showing what it's really like out on the trails, and
to do it in a positive, professional manner."

The family-friendly series begins with 'GetBent! - Episode One'
focusing on the popular "Katemcy Rocks" off-road park in central
Texas, which is known for the intense traction of its granite
slickrock terrain. Future episodes will feature other popular
four wheeling destinations all across the United States.
Individual episodes are available for $19.95 each, or at a
special price of $39.95 for a three episode subscription.

I don't think I've mentioned it on this particular forum, but we've been having a pretty good week, sales-wise. We've almost reached our Business Plan* goal of first week sales; if friday sales figures fall in line with how the rest of the week went (not counting monday because that was a particularly intensive day, since it was 'announcement' day) then we shouldn't have any problems meeting goal. And hey, another 50+ weeks of this and we might eventually be able to pay ourselves! LOL!

So thanks to everyone who's ordered...we really do appreciate it, and we're glad we're able to offer a product that portrays our recreation in a positive manner!

*Disclaimer - I don't really understand the whole business plan thing, but that's why the Marketing MBA runs the company operations; I just shoot and edit. :D

Wicked - what do you use to edit? And when are you shooting in SoCal? :P

We shoot in native 16:9 DVCAM (Sony Broadcast equipment) and edit with Final Cut Studio (on Mac, of course!) :)

We'll be in CA for #4 or #5 (probably #5), although we haven't decided WHERE just yet. It's kinda a toss-up between JV and the Rubicon (but I'm pushing for JV). I wouldn't be opposed to including some other SURROUNDING area trails, either.

But like I said, at #4 or #5, we're DEFINATELY not gonna be out that way until NEXT year.

Yay! Mac!! I knew you were cool ... I'd love to come and watch you film when you make it out this way. I'm about 50 minutes from JV.
