Need a few OEM Spare Tire Bumpstops to add to/extend my existing ones until I get a new tire carrier (someday!). Was wondering if anyone had any laying around that they don't want anymore...let me know! Thanks.

Here's a pic, and what I want to do with them (thanks to Eddie at 4x4xplor for the pics!):

Have you tried mounting your spare backwards? You might not have to mess with those bump stops.

i removed all mine and my 31" tire fits great without them. my tailgate pretty much would not close without a forceful shove when I had them on.

Are you using the stock wheel? With the black steelies I'm using that have a 3.75" back spacing, the lugnuts tighten all the way down against the tire carrier and the tire is still 1/4" to 1/2" away from the stock rubber bumpstops. That's why I'm looking to extend them for now. I think Zebrajeep is working with me on these (fingers crossed)!

Call me vain and a poser (:D), but wouldn't that look a little strange???

:D

Depends on the wheel I guess. My black rims don't really look that much different except for the fake beadlock look on the outside. I made a temporary relocation bracket to make the 35s fit on the stock carrier for a while ... but in order to get the necessary clearance, I had to mount it backwards (actually to make it stick farther out). ... it was all temporary until I got the warn setup.

Never got these from Zebrajeep, and it appears that he hasn't been on line in a while (:dunno:), soooo, I'm still looking for a set of these if anyone has any laying around! Thanks.

Try "Play It Again Sports" for used hockey pucks. I think I paid $1 each. Thats how I extended my stops. I also run my spare backwards. The only difference is that you can now see the wheel weights against the black wheel.

Clean it up a little?....They can't look worse than my hack job while enjoying a few too many cold ones in the garage......:D

LOL...no hacking here...since these are temporary, I just drilled a hole in them, got some longer screws, and mounted the pucks under the existing OEM ones...
