hey everyone, does your 4 banger make a little noise? mine makes a faint Dieseling sound under the valvecover,its the 2.5L with 80,000 miles. Other than that it runs like a top. Im sure its nothing to worry about,,just probably a jeep thing?:no:

My 4 banger did that from day 1 when I bought it. That's when it only had 3 miles on it. Now it has about 105,000 and it still sounds the same. I just turn up the radio.

My 2.5 vibrates and rattles, always has.

that sounds like my 92 with the 2.5, but i guess its sort of common? My does this other thing where it runs clear up to about 260 on the temp gauge and then drops down to the normal 210.... I probably have a bad thermostat, any thing else that would cause this though?

Man, get that fixed.

It's in the shop now, getting my lift installed (finally), and I'm going o have em fix while it's in there also.
