Long ways away from Irwin, and good wheelin' there? tonkadave 05-27-06, 05:31 PM I know the 4.0 strait six jeep engine is 190 HP stock. seapahn 05-28-06, 01:37 AM The newer 4.3 TBIs put out about 195HP at 4400 RPM and 250ft-lb at around 2800 RPM. It won't be a 350 but it's still a heck of an engine compared to its size/weight. Gas milage wise ... hmmmmm ... I think you'll be disappointed but it really depends on what you get with the 350. My 2001 blazer with the 4.3 gets between 14-15 in the city and 16-17 on the highway. I might get 18 if I do 55mph for a long stretch. That's with 3.73 gears, 4L60E tranny, and 31s. freewaydan 05-29-06, 12:47 PM I believe its the Vortec motor you are asking about. The older TBIs put out like 165 or so, i get about 12 mph if i have a tail wind. Davisrats 05-29-06, 02:28 PM sounds like you would be better of to keep what you have?? |
