Sweet! After seeing the price of those in the catalogs I decided against them. Time for some cloth arm rests?

I like em!! Do they come in white?
Looks like you cage the animal inside. Wrap em with foam? yeah, that would work too. They make some great insulating foam that would fit around the pipe.

i have about $45 and a couple hours into them. no i am not going to put any foam on them. i like the feel of the metal.;) and they might come in white...who knows:D

that black metal will get pretty hot though in nevada ... won't it? my grey plastic center console has a tendency to burn my elbow if i'm not careful.

Those look sweet! What did you use for the welds? A MIG welder? What about the locking mechanisms. I'm interested! I may end up making some for my YJ, just havent had the time.

btw I'm diggin those fuzzy seat covers!

mig welder, got the latches from redneck trailer supply, got the hinges from a local welding shop.. they are just some weld on hinges that i turned down with a mill to fit right. they are made from 1" tube and.. the seats are really warm in the summer:D

any ways.. i got a sweet deal and i traded them for a set of steel half doors today:D so i will make another set some day soon.. could not pass up this deal

they look like any other set of half steel doors.. they are black with grey interior.. i dont have any pics now.. if you really want me to post some i will take some tomorrow.. it was dark when i got home tonight

sweet, a little big of damp rag to that and should look pretty good, White jeep, black doors. I like it...

well today i painted the tube fenders black.. my rockernockers are black, my chrusher corndes are black.my hardtop is black.. why not add some more black:D and they are for hittin the rocks.. i dont need the jeep to look pretty.. just work like i built it to.

I like the ingenuity of them, wicked! wonder if i can raid an old door set to get the latches. I know the hinges can be modded. Nice handywork... next time I'm sure you'll cook up a change... mebe a cup holder or integrate your extinguisher into the frame.

thanks.. i got the latches from redneck trailer supply it was alot easier then gettin them from an old set of doors. and cheaper.. i got them for $7(maybe 8) a piece. right now it is to cold for half doors so i have no need to make any new sets.. but next summer i will make another set..
