i cant get my drive shaft on. i had to replace the u-joint and now i cant get it back together. i need my jeep in a couple of hours...i need help and soon.

You probably already got this fixed, but if not, Chris is saying that the bearing cups on the ujoint have needle bearings in them, and if you take the cups (the part that gets clamped in to the yoke by either the Ujoint straps or U bolts} off for any reason you might have one or more of the needles fall out of place. That keep the cup from going all the way on the body of the ujoint and causes fittment problems when you try to put it back in the yoke. If you still have trouble, take the cups off the ujoint and see if the needles are all there and in line with each other. Hope this helps. Rat |
