I recently installed a set of T&T body stiffeners. After searching the web and reading all the pros and cons, I decided to spend the $170.00 for them. The argument against them is the price. You can buy plenty of steel for $170.00. People said that all you have to do is weld pieces all along the sides and bottom of the box rail. If you want to do a lot of welding and have the time available, knock yourself out! I think its far better to go T&T. They form to body very well. As you install them you use a floor jack to force them up against the body and at the same time use c clamps to squeeze them against the sides. They are pre notched to let them bend in the right spots for a good fit. The sharp 90 degree corner you would have on angle iron isn't a factor on T&T's. They even matched the "corner" to conform to the body. They touch the area of the front control arm bracket and go back to the leaf spring bracket. I also agree with Bob at T&T that if the body hasn't been wheeled its best to get them on before you do. Its easier to stiffen it up and keep it that way if it hasn't been twisted already. I think its a great product.
