I have a 1978 CJ7 i am selling. i have owned and built it for the past 2 years, but college has cut my funds terribly and it needs some motor work (rebuild would be the best option).

rear amc 20 with one piece axles
304 amc V8 motor (needs work, but if you buy my friends wagoneer above, the amc 401 will swap right in as well as the t18A transmission.....nice motor)

custom rear bumper
custom 1/4" rocker guards w/ rail
custom 3/8" winch guard

i hate to let it go, but i need to focus on college. i rebuilt everything myself, just couldn't get to the motor before money ran out.

You're gonna sell your soul to the devil if you get rid of your Jeep.... Take it from someone who was in the exact position you were in 20 years ago. I had to buy my youth back 20 years later and it's still not the same. Oh the irony of it all.... Trust me, you'll regret the day you part with the ole' CJ......

I hate seeing others make the same exact mistake. Sell the skateboard, snowboard, dirtbike, sell the Xbox, sell the TV, sell that super high dollar Cr$aptop PC you just bought for "school", sell the girlfriends Honda, Sell your girlfriend... (no wait, I guess you can't go that far but .......you can sell that pet dog or cat & the goldfish), sell your iPod and your nifty razor phone, auction off your old sneakers, that CD collection, Sell that beanbag chair, heck even sell oranges by the freeway. Offer to do everyones homework, Clean their toilets with a toothbrush even! Shoot, you could sell a kidney first! ( I hear they can get as much as $10,000 each!) Just don't sell the Jeep, im beggin' ya' here mannnn!!!!!!

I shoulda eaten top romin, had 25 cent tacos and slept on my buddies garage floor before selling my CJ Jeep twenty years ago.

o man....you gave me an abb work out....trust me, im actually not trying to sell the jeep. someone will offer me 3000 and ill tell them it just went up to 4000. i might actually be able to buy my friends wagoneer and swap in his 401!!! im trying everything i can. im trying to convince my dad that i need my "college stock funds", but we'll c how that goes.

I am also in college and low on funds but i still save on the side to do upgrades. Do yuo have a job? Im making about 11.25 an hour and work 3-4 days a week and still am full time school. Look at other options. Selling the jeep is like giving up a battle. If you havnt seen the movie 300, go see it! you will never give up on anything

My brother had a 77 CJ7 with a 401 in it...that thing was a lot of fun! Went through a lot of U-Joints though!
