1N38 can be found in the San Bernardino National Forest near Big Bear Lake. 1N38 is available to street legal vehicles only.

You can expect to encounter steep, loose climbs and narrow switchback turns. The US Forest Service rates 1N38 a black diamond most difficult trail. Elevation is 7300' at Highway 38 and 8320' at the top of heart Bar Peak. During the winter months snow and ice will add to the difficulty of traversing the trail.
