I am looking for a gas tank slider/skid for my 91' YJ and I don't know if I should go with Genright because of the sweet price or stay with Kilby for the name...
I know that Warn makes some, but I dunno. I know you all have opinions, lemme know!

Kilby for the name??? Get the GenRight for the quality!!! (I'm not saying that the Kilby is crap, I just feel the GenRight is better.)

Good choice!

I've got bitchen rear end clearance and protection with a genright coupled w/ my stupid hitch:

(Edit note: more clearance now... that pic was taken before my 4.5" RE SF and 33" tires)

Well, we'll have to compare notes next week. While waiting for my fuel injection and engine swap to be completed (hopefully only 1 more week) I'll be installing a Warn gas tank skid plate on my 88'yj on Sunday. I'll send a picture when it's done.

Hmmm....we put the Kilby on the Desert Jewel and it has held up extremely nicely with all the hard stuff I put her thru. Guess we'll be able to compare if you continue to get out and wheel more! lol

I have the genright corners and they are nice, my gas tank skid is tomken and that is nice as well. I think they are all the same more or less, just compare the thickness of material.

we should have a Warn-Tomkin-Genright-Kilby gas tank slider mixer!

I'll bring the Jamesons

anyone with a tank slider will be welcome

we'll have to do it at Calico of course, somebody start a run thread! :)

Niiiiice!

Got home from work yesterday (monday) and the Gas Tank Slider is sitting on the porch! but no time to throw it in, so I get to do some wrenching tonight!

ooooh, the sweet smell of gas! I hope I can find a clear hose because the last time I syphoned gas out of my tank it ruined my whole week! :(

I can't wait to get home and open that box:D

Yeah, it's not too pleasant in the ear either. You can avoid sucking on the hose by inserting a hose into the tank then pressuising the tank with compressed air. That will start the siphoning process.

Desert Jewel ambushed me with some real electrical work last night so I didn't open that box untill today (wednesday!) and man, that slider looks nice! :)

its about 60# of powdercoated goodness! And the hooked me up with 6 Genright stickers!!! :D

so now I will change the Kodiak Spirit to the Genright Spirit!!!! :D

not really!

took me about two hours to get the thing installed, Thanx Paul for loaning me the syphon thingy, and now I realize I only have a 15gal tank!

I allways thought I had a 20gal tank! there are times when I put 15gallons in! right after a run, I would go right to the fill station and put like 13.5 or 14 gal in and think nothing of it, I have a 20gal tank right? OMG! I was allmost That guy so many times!

Anyways the stickers are sweet, the Gas Tank Slider fit perfect, looks good, and weighs a ton, but its solid as a ... Rock?

Sonofa... I didn't even get 1 sticker! Of course maybe there were 6 in the box when they shipped. UPS had a field day with the box! Luckily it was a huge ass piece of armor inside, not something fragile!

Yeah, I cracked up when by butchered box showed up, with a bright orange "this side up, fragile" sticker on it, but I think all my papers and stickers made it!

Shucks, I hope I got all the stickers I was 'sposed to get. If I see a UPS truck with a Genright sticker on it I'm gonna be pissed!
