I juts got back from running the trail this past week. We had great weather and no one on the trail until we left on Saturday.Little Sluice is so easy now so that was sad but the rest of the trail was great and very little water this year. We had nice temps to swim in so that was nice too. We had a small group of four Jeeps and had only had one broken track bar mount. We had a welder a and grinder so we fixed it and it worked. It was another great summer on the Rubicon. That was my eighth year in a row so I must like it a lot. If anyone is doing any day runs, let me know. I am off for two months so I am up for runs anytime.

With only 3 more house payments to go, in Feb we were told that our house loan was being taken over by Green Tree financial. Money was taken out of our bank account automatically, and I kept a close eye on it to make sure there wouldn't be any mistakes. In May I received a call from GT that we had not made any payments for the last 3 months, and that we were in default. I asked the gentleman to wait till I got on the computer. Once on the computer he told me that they were wrong, and that I needed to bring down a check for $885.97 to finish paying off the house, cause they could not pull out a lesser amount than what was authorized. That was on a Thursday, so Monday when the wife got home we went down to make the final payment. Once there we were told it was $2300.00 . We wrote them a check, but didn't think that it was right. Got home and verified that they were wrong, went to my bank and verified it, and put a stop payment on the check. Called them immediately and informed them what we did and why. Long story short the last 4 weeks have been a living hell between letters and calls about being late on the last 3 payments, that we are in default, and that they are going to foreclose, to letters saying that the house is paid for, and Docs would arrive at the end of June. ( Did receive a Document from the County recorder saying Substitution of Trustee and Full Conveyance). Its in legalize language, and was recorded May 27th. Looked it up on the computer and I believe it means that GT relinquish all rights to the house. Received that Friday after going down there to GT and giving them a check for $885.97 to resolve this. However it was recorded on May 27th. Did I just throw $900 down the toilet?
Anyhow, paying your house off should be a happy day, but for us the last 4 weeks have been a living hell. Between harassing phone calls, letters saying we are in default and that they are going to foreclose. So my advice to anyone who has a mortgage, and you find your mortgage has been sold to Green Tree, Run, do not walk and get your loan refinance with someone else. These people are either dumb or crooked. Oh Saturday received another letter saying that we are in default a after receiving the Full Conveyance paper work. Will be contacting my attorney Monday.

Trail Report Marble Canyon

I want to thank Steve (WOKNROX) for a great day. Met some great new people and had a great time. Marble Canyon Is a great trail and I bet it was just beautiful before the fire went through. It is on the same level as Motino. The gate keeper is tough. Steve and fred made it and I tried a different line and dented my windshield frame. To much fun so the pictures suck.
