They work very well. I relied on mine for an 1800 mile solo off road trek through Utah, and recently, we used one to help a motorcyclist on a remote trail east of Salton Sea who had fallen. Some one told me last week they Frys was doing a deal whare you could buy the service and get the unit free. I havent been by but its worth looking.
