First come first serve. No fee. No water. No bathrooms. Campfires allowed when fire restrictions permit. Campfire permits are required.

It is always a good idea to call the ranger station before heading in to the forest and get a current conditions report. Idyllwild Ranger Station (909) 382-2921

Isn't there technically a fee because you have to have an adventure pass?

Technically you have to put gas in your Jeep to get it to the mountains. $.32 in taxes is added to every gallon of gas.

Don't forget the sales tax on your Jeep, your tent, your sleeping bags, etc.

Uncle Sam is going to get his share one way or another. Most of us who recreate in any of the 5 So Cal national forests have adventure passes. I am not directly paying a fee to use a yellow post site. I choose not to add all the indirect fees.

Your map shows YP6&7 being next to each other, but the coordinates show YP4 and YP7 being the same.

I'll try to double check those this weekend as well as get coordinates for the seemingly missing YP1, YP5, unless those are closed or missing or I can't find them.
