    The Rubicon Trail is closed due to the King Fire. Ryan Primosch (HookandLadder) is a member of this forum, is an LA fireman and he has been deployed to fight the fire

        Got some cell reception... The for has not reached the entrance to the rubicon trail. Intersection of ice house rd and wentworth springs is burned out. Fire is heading north. Fir is about 20 miles from rubicon entrance.

                Let's hope the fire keeps moving North, but more important that the weather cools off and helps the firefighters knock this fire down quick. It would be a shame the Rubi burned. Be safe out there Ryan, and pass along our gratitude to your buddies up there with you.

                        It's been reported that the Rubicon is opened again. Wentworth and Icehouse took a beating but the trail is reported open according to FOTR.
                        Thanks to all the firefighters that put in on the line.

                          I am still up here getting ready to demob. The fire never touched the rubicon trail, thankfully. The fire is pretty much out, companies are moping up and hitting hot spots and smoldering stumps. Wentworth springs at 11 pines looks like a nuclear bomb went off...completely burned over
