4.3 Chevy vortex into 69 CJ-5

Looking for newer engine for my 69 CJ. My V6 has almost 500K on it & been rebuilt 3 times, its done. Anyone have a not too used GM Vortec 4.3 V6. It would be good if it were a stick, I'm not ever sure if I could put a actual flywheel in a auto set up. But I'm sure someone has done it. [COLOR="#FF0000"]Any help would be awesome[/COLOR].

You could easily do the automatic. I have the 4L60e behind my 4.3 in my CJ.

Shouldn't be a problem if you want to keep a manual. The 4.3 came with manuals in s-10 blazers at least and I think they take a standard chevy 11" clutch. Anyway, even if you get an auto version the flexplate and flywheel will swap, they are on rockauto for $100-150. What trans are you running? If you are running a four speed like a sm420 then it would be really easy as it will bolt up with the right bellhousing. If it is a jeep trans there might be some adapting involved.
