We are planning on arriving Friday morning.
If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

You bet. The regular Truck+Trailer+Jeep+Tent+Shade? We'll save a city block.

Heading out on a gorgeous day up the canyon … perfect temps and wildflowers.

Jason said no one ever takes his picture.

Chuck made the first waterfall look easy.

Josh did an great job with his open/open YJ on 31s. Strapped and winched a couple times but still impressive.

Aaron busted his front ujoint but did a fast axle removal on the XJ. Maybe an hour, so we all lunched while he worked.

3WD needs some help, but Trent (right name? sorry …) has all the right stuff. This was a tight spot with all the turns in the canyon, but no problems.

Dean, waiting for Dad to put the XJ back together.

Maybe actually watching Carmen’s portable dog pack above.

                        Wildflowers popping everywhere:

The shelf is a lot narrower than it used to be, now named “pucker ridge”. Chuck was first through … damn.

Trent skipped the narrow part and went up the steep part instead.

Once it was figured out, everyone made it ok. Some very careful spotting and puckering too.

Looking out over the canyon to Big Bear with snow in the distance.

Back to camp for pig and shenanigans. Kurt the pig was incredible, and Carmen – the Cuban rice - wow!

Great seeing old friends and making some new ones, good times. IDTT!

                        Linda

Rollover, rollover, rollover! I don't know if Marines have to yell that in training but we sure did. Been there man

Grace, Dean, and I had a great time and look forward to next year! I thought the XJ was locked and loaded but as it turns out I never made it out of 3-wheel drive, and eventually 2wd. The rear o-ring in the bulkhead fitting for the ARB was blown out the whole time so I never had a rear locker. And as many know my front driver outer axle shaft crapped out due to lack of bump-stopping. Live and learn! I spent today correcting those issues and have plans upon plans for the future. We really enjoyed meeting those that keep MJR on top and look forward to the next run, wherever it may be!

Linda summed up Saturday, so will just add some pics to supplement hers.

There was some snuggling of the canyon wall:

Drew ran it too for the first time ever:
