    I did the same thing just this weekend for my sons 77CJ5, Only I used 9/16 drill rod, $4.56 at OSH, welded a 1/2" ring made from a peice of pipe and drilled a hole. The little rings makes it nice to pull the pin. The 9/16" drill rod is the same as the bolts used to mounted from the factory.

        I need to dig around in the garage. But I think I might have a homebrew disco setup for a TJ. If I can find them they are yours.

              Hey cool, What I wonder is will they fit? because I currently only run a 2in spacer lift with 31in tires. Later I do plan to do a small upgrade to a 2 1/2 spring lift. Do you think they will fit with what I have now? Are they longer than factory ones.

                These are 9 1/2 inches long(from bushing centers). You want your sway bar to sit as close to level as possible and you want your links to be as close to vertical as possible. Here is a link to more than you ever wanted to know about sway bar geometry.
