Hey MJR guys anyone out there ever change the wheel joints on a 88 wrangler, If so can someone give detail desciption on how and what has to be doneto complete this job! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. I think you guys know your stuff from what Ive read in your forum. Thanx (NEW JEEPER) AND STARTING TO LIKE IT THANX TO MJR!

what do you mean by "wheel joints"?
are you referring to the u-joints on the front axles? or the wheel bearings? welcome to the forum

for the front axle joints, just pull the axles out, and press out the old u joint, and press in the new. as far as removing the axles... remove the wheel, brake caliper, rotor. then remove the 3 bolts that hold in the uni bearing. this can sometimes be a pain in the ass to get free from its rusted home. you might get lucky though.
once you get this apart, press out the old, and press in the new. a chiltons manual is your friend for disassembly, and reassembly of these things. repost if you need more info ![]() get a press from auto zone, or your local auto parts store ![]() replace with SPICER parts. dont use off brand u joints. this is too big a pain in the ass to do often, so use the good SPICER joints
