Our first run up this popular trail was quite a hot one. As we climbed in elevation it did cool off a bit, but bring plenty of water and sunscreen for the summer months. For an advanced offroader, this is an easy trail – we had Ed's stock Jeep with 31's make it through with no problems at all. The optional "v-notch" proves to be a challenge, however, as you can see from the photos below. Aside from a few small rock gardens, it's mostly a dirt trail. Depending on which branch you follow, can climb to almost 5,000 feet where you'll get spectacular views of the area.

Ed makes it through the first obstacle.

Brian tests his Jeep on the v-notch.

Rick gives it a try, and shows off some flex!

Kyle spots Rick.

Stuck on a spring and then an axle, he opts to winch to Brian's Jeep to prevent any damage.

Chuck and Rich head up the rocky climb.

Ryan follows us up the hill.

Follow the winding trail to some great desert overlooks.
